Too much if anything.
It’s been a while (and I’m not making reference to the Stain’d song here) (which can I just clarify now I hated when it came out, and in no way liked it (or any other Nu-Metal song)) since a blog has been posted. This is mainly because we’ve been so ruddy busy! I’ll try and remember what we’ve been up to (in no particular order (not because I can’t remember the order, because I can))…
We played a certain “festival” which was the biggest scam ever. I can’t say the actual name of it but let’s just say we couldn’t wait to surface from being part of this badly run gig. We felt we were drowning in a sea of terrible organisation and we couldn’t wait to paddle our way to the surface. Let me explain: Jimmy wasn’t even turned on, Scott’s banjo was going absolutely mental with feedback, the monitors were turned all the way up to 11 which meant we couldn’t actually hear anything other than feedback. No-one knew what time anyone was on, how to vote, when to vote, what votes meant and a million other annoyances. Oh, and we had to pay for the privilege. Great.
We did a cider festival with the Wurzels. This was great fun; sun, hay, cider and playing football on top of Betty Sue.
Played the Owain Glyndwr another few hundred times (well, twice) which is always a good craic. Had a stag party in on one of them. The stag actually got on the drums and played John Henry with us. Yeah, sooo…
Jamie, Scott, Baz and me went on our mate’s stag doo to N’Castle layke. We all dressed up as sumo wrestlers, with big inflatable suits. It was good fun.
Scott went on another million stag dos.
We played the Acoustic Festival of Great Britain. Met some great people and had a good laugh. Played some music and drunk some beer. Did a lot of dares. The most fun being to try and get underneath different stall and have photo taken. Played some football (can I just clarify here and now that all of us are actually brilliant at football, it was just the inflatable ball we were playing with that made us look bad. Honestly, if you saw us with a normal ball… well, lemme tell you this now; your brain may explode with the sheer shock of how incredibly talented we are with a (proper) ball at out feet.) So anyway, yeah we had a cracking time at this gig…
Hmm.. what else?
Oh yeah! We started our tour with Catrin Finch. We’ve played Swansea and Brecon so far. Next up is Cardigan (coincidentally, my birthday – 10th June) and Caernarvon (day after my birthday – 11th June). So these should be a good laugh too. Especially the one that's my birthday (10th June). Hope there’s some banging chavvy clubs open late in Cardigan that can handle our wild, out-of-control, crazy behaviour (because that's what it's like when us boys are out and about to celebrate our birthdays (mine is 10th June, did I mention it?)).
And we’ve done lots more stuff too but I can’t remember it all here.
Kind regards,
Liam A. Collins Esq.
